Emotional intelligence (EQ) is often discussed as a skill set, but in real life, it shows up in much quieter ways. In how we respond under pressure. In what we notice about ourselves before we speak. In how we navigate tension, read the room, and stay grounded when things don’t go as planned.
This five-week series explores the five core dimensions of emotional intelligence: self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, social awareness, and social regulation as lived practices rather than abstract concepts. Each post looks at how these dimensions show up at work and in everyday life, what it looks like when they’re missing, and how small, intentional actions can strengthen them over time.
This series isn’t about getting EQ right. It’s about building awareness, noticing patterns, and learning to respond with greater intention one moment at a time.
We are getting started on Monday...get ready!
